Ok my take,

DON"T take them off to see what happens. If they are there to balance then you would have to re-balance them to correct the "problem". Since nobody has seen this before, It is reasonable to believe that nobody would know what steps/machines/test/etc it would take to balance them.

This is of course only if they are there to balance. Best thing to do to those who have a new Camaro with them is just enjoy their awesome new car and wait for the answer from GM or Fbod.

And to GM. Thanks for the Camaro
