i totally get what your saying, just can't limit yourself to thinking that modifications to the engine are solely based on physical changes to the engine. when you change the behavior of the engine due to other modifications, then your ultimately making engine modifications. when the engine is the final resultant in the calculation of HP and TQ be it RWHP or at the crank hp...then anything that alters those numbers is an engine modifiction. minus drive train gearing. a tune which alters the ecu, being electronic, is also an engine mod as it controls how it behaves with timing, duration, spark, kr...
