We hear you loud and clear.
What do you propose that we do?
Suppliers provide us with materials -- we look at them very closely to ensure that they meet our standards. What's also true is that some materials are very difficult to produce.....
So - we have a couple of choices.
1. - we allow the supplier to take their time to produce the parts so that they meet our - and your - expectations -- and put the option on hold....
or....
2. - we go ahead and use inferior parts - which upsets the customer....
or....
3. -- I suppose we could take the owner(s) of the company that produces parts - and all of their employees - and subject them to a severe 'caning' - or perhaps withhold food, water, and sleep - or perhaps call them awful names...

(I don't mean to belittle anyone - but I'm trying to get a point across here once again..)
What I'm asking you to do is stand back and
think about this issue....
People want the car NOW -- and they want it perfect (as they should) and when it doesn't happen, all heck breaks out on enthusiast sites......
Go back and read what I posted yesterday.......
it actually costs us money to put this option on hold -- some manufacturers would say "what the heck - use the bad parts and we'll worry about it IF the customer is upset -- and then we'll warranty it.."
.......I don't think that's what people really want, now do they?
So - again - I apologize on behalf of the entire team -
but please - listen to what I'm saying:
we take this action because we don't want you to take delivery of a new ZL1 that would have parts that may not meet your expectations......
