Before we jump to conclusions and start a panic, it looks to me like they were just laying all the pieces out first, nothing had been applied yet.
On the rear, again, it looks like they are just laying out the pieces. First of all, I highly doubt they'd try to install them with the trunk open like that. Most likely, it's open so that they can remove the spoiler and then finish laying the stripes.
