that order # is worthless. if any dealer runs it they'll tell you your at (1100) - "ordered at dealer". when GM pulls it, you'll get a new order # and once it's 'scheduled for production" (3300), you'll get a VIN.
why there is no "sticky" threads on here or 5thGen.org about this, i have no idea..............
i ordered 4/11/09 and was told July. since then, i have been on these two forums reading and reading and asking and weeding out what i think is BS...........here's the way i see it:
if you are a LEGIT dealer allocated order, you need to call your dealer and ask "how many allocation sales total do you have? what # am i? how many before me has GM pulled? how often is GM pulling your allocations?" then do the math.
example - i am #9 allocation at my dealer. 5 have been pulled. GM's pulling 1 per week from my dealer. therefor, i have at least 3-4 weeks before i even get pulled, after that the average is about 6-8 weeks til' delivery, unless you get held for quality issues like the early orders.
some guys have ordered back in October and still haven't been pulled yet! some placed orders mid April and are already being built.
if you are not a LEGIT dealer allocation or your dealer only gets 1 or 2 allocations.............Christmas.
