Actually a Macbook Pro is basically the same inside as a Dell, just put in a shiny aluminum case and marked up 300% with some nice marketing. They are even in many cases made by the same Chinese contract manufactuer. For the average user a Mac and Dell are about the same..but the Apple in nicer quality if you know what you are looking at. 300% nice quality is debatle..but with the way Mac's sell..some people agree. Not faulting him though..I have all Mac's my self and like buying nice, high quality things.




Except for the install cost? And your math is wrong too. $700 is not too far off what a nice set costs.




And see..people can make competely out of left field, wrong statements like this..and I am just supposed to ignore it?

So...if I sell you a set of Kooks for the price of a set of flea market immitations you would buy? I guess that is becoming the American mentality.
I'll tell you my logic on cheap headers with expensive catbacks. On my 99 z28 I bought a very expensive set of headers with a very cheap catback...the car sounded..Ehh...okay,not terrible but not great. Terrible drone. I installed a cam and had it tuned...after about a year of having them on the car I backed out of a friends dirt driveway at night and tore the drivers side header all to Hell. I replaced these expensive headers with a 400 dollar set of pacesetters. I then installed a nitrous kit and headed back to my tuner to get some dyno pulls and have some timing pulled out for the spray..the baseline dyno numbers were 4hp of what I dynoed 20k miles previously with the expensive headers. Was it the cheaper header that cost me the 4hp?maybe weather? I really don't know. I do know that my car sounded the same with the cheap headers. I eventually got rid of my cheapo catback and put a reputable brand catback on...I was much more happy with the sound and volume inside the cabin. After this I decided that if I had to cheap out it would be on the header since my experience the cheap header was very similar to what I had already paid double for. Now I know I'm comparing a 4th gen to my current 5th gen which is why I said Ive been doing tons of research. I'm a BMW mechanic so I know that sometimes you really just pay for the name that's stamped on the part and its really not tons better then anything else out there..I was in no way calling you out or anything..I'm still considering buying kooks and your still a vendor I will contact when it comes time for me to order the headers whichever brand it may be. I would love to see dyno results with cheaper headers compared to the expensive headers...because no offense but the whole "but wait there made in America so that's why they are so expensive" isn't a reason I will pay double for a product that is basically going to perform the same. Like I said I'm a mechanic so I don't make tons of money to blow on my car. I'm still considering the kooks or arhs...but I'm also open to cheap headers if the power and sound are going to be the same. (sorry for the grammar and typos I'm typing this with my phone)
