ss/rs-matt, I was very interested in the ARH headers and exhaust system, wanting to keep everything matched and for no drone. But, the OBX price is very appealing. They look great and seem to perform well. I might roll the dice with OBX and the stock exhaust and hope for no drone. Why is it (rhetorical) that the vendors bash them? I have yet to read a thread from OBX owners stating not to buy these headers.
Well as far as drone goes, don't buy headers based on that. Drone is controlled by the cat back system. Basically what drone is, is the exhaust pulses osculating at a certain frequency that our bodies and ears become in tune with. Its somewhere around 1800rpm, and feels like your ears are ringing kinda. Its hard to explain the experience it self. There are some cat back systems that claim to reduce this with special bends, j pipes, etc. Basically they are cancelling out the exhaust pulses with each other.

Not all vendors bash OBX, I bought these from a forum vendor/sponsor, Erik @ lashway motorsports. Other vendors don't seem to like them because they claim to be cheap copies of kooks. I think its because there is a very small profit margin on them. I would not be surprised though if more start selling these. I mean 2 years ago it was taboo to put any budget friendly header on. Now we have the TSP chinese header, the Stainless power chinese header and OBX. Btw, no one has proven these are made in china.

Hope that helps.
