You guys stop kidding yourselves about worrying that the weights will fall off. You know they won't! What do you know that the engineers don't? You're just whining because you know they're there, even if you have to get on hands and knees to see them. LOL, god forbid you ever restore an older camaro. If you want a hand-crafted perfect piece of art then save up for a Bentley. Otherwise, just enjoy your car and whip some a$$ on the street. There's more important things in life to worry about you fussy yuppies.

While I don’t intend to inflame this thread with personal attacks, the weights ARE NOT a proper fix.

For the near $40,000 I'm spending for this car, I do expect better than this. This IS like prescribing a Band-Aid for cancer.....Does anybody really think these stick on weights will be there 1, 2, or 10 years from now??? This is one of the tackiest (pun intended)engineering "patches" I've ever seen with a GM product. If weights are needed to mitigate a vibration, they would be designed to fit the caliper somehow....not lead stuck to the caliper with double sided sticky tape!!!

There is a lot of pressure to deliver this car from management...especially during the current economic pressures at GM. I suggest this to be a short sighted attempt to move cars down the line prior a proper "fix" of a resonance issue. No...I do not, nor have ever worked for GM, but have seen similar botched decisions in an aero-space manufacturing environment made by well intended individuals trying to fix an issue without really solving the problem due to "limited engineering resources" and a need to please marketing pressures. This is still a business trying to turn a profit, and the fear of not hitting their "numbers" leads to short sighted decisions like this.

Sorry about the rant, but does GM really think we are going to swallow this line of ???
