You may be getting confused between dual color vs single color rings rather than the factory ring vs no factory ring.
You can see individual LEDs on the dual color rings but you do not notice them on the single color rings. The factory halo simply softens the light and makes it slightly less bright. |
Gotcha. Makes sense why you can see leds more on dual color. Thanks for the clarity. I ordered the dual 2.0's. I think I'll just take out the factory halo instead of cutting it.
