I'd love to make it a direct fit, but I'll have to wait until we get our hands on it to see if we can move the mounting solution.

That's a pretty good idea.
You couldn't convince me to put a spoiler on my car that was ONLY held on by 3M tape, but in that center area, that might be a great solution.
As an aside, I also own a 98 Cobra with a Saleen S281 Spoiler on it. The early designs came with a 4 bolt setup that used the stock locations. The later designs, which I have, removed two studs and replaced it with 3M tape.
So far, no problems, since we have a 2 post mechanical solution, as well as the adhesive.
