I have family that loads rails for Toyota. It's a tight fit inside those rails for some cars.
But really now... the edges of the doors should be taped off during shipping, shouldn't they? Just like all 4 corners are in those pics.
That would prevent chipping on the edge, and it would prevent the door's edge from chipping another car's paint that's parked right beside it.
