Also, any parts replaced under warranty are shipped back to GM. The customer will never see the defective part, much less be given the parts to take home.
I was also wondering why the dealer clocked 17 miles before handing you the keys. Did they have your permission to do so?

Thanks for the heads up on the parts. That's understandable. My husband has already put a call into GM regarding the issue. GM will know about it, really just for future reference.
Regarding the mileage. Here's what went down.... My car was delivered w/
3 miles on it. Then driven to a bodyshop to have the stripes installed, appx.
4 miles., then back to the dealership, another
4 miles. So now the car had 11 on it. Then they flat bedded it to another bodyshop (the first one tore the stripes). Then I picked it up, now we're 5 days after the delivery, and drove it back to the dealership so that I could finalize everything, about
10 miles. This adds up to 21 miles, and like I said there were about 22-24, can't remember which, when we went to fill it up with gas before I drove her, almost, home.
