If you are in Texas as it appears, you don't need a VIN. You order the plates from MYplates.com and they send them to your local tax office - usually takes about a month. You then take in your registration and pay a fee and they link the plates to your car. Of course the question now is how long they will hold them while we are waiting for the ZL1s to actually get to us so the dealer can register them and give us the registration.
