The weights in question come pre-installed on the calipers, they are not added to the caliper on the assembly line. They are there to reduce vibration and brake squeal. You will only find these weights on vehicles equipped with the 14" discs, and there should always be 16 little lead weights attached to the caliper.

I would not expect this to stop any time soon, as I am sure you would not want loud brake squeals when coming to a stop in your nice shiny Camaro.

No I would not want squeaky brakes...But yes I would want brakes that work, not brakes that have a halfa$$ fix..sorry for the rant, maybe I would be more calm if my car would show up!
