I don't have an extra $2k lying around or know of a reliable shop to do the work even if I did. The car has zero mods - bone stock 2SS/RS with Hurst short throw. So, how would you recommend I approach the dealer, are there no TSBs? Also, how can I tell if a dealer is worth their weight in tranny repair? I probably have 4 or 5 to choose from in a 25-mile radius.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated. I've changed a timing chain with great success, but am a real newbie when it comes to trannys.

GM has no TSB's on this condition. The dealer are only allow to use the parts inside THIS TR6060 to perform repairs. Short of replacing the entire transmission, it will be hit or miss.
