From everything I've seen, GMConnects updates every 2 hours. However, any changes that are made through the day don't seem to be updated until the next morning and that is why most don't find out their status has moved until the morning after it did. I think that Global connects is in real time so if a change has been made, Becky should be able to see it right away.
