You beat me to it, not many people know that the Camaro was going to be originally called Panther. Personally I wish they had kept the original name. It's wayyyyy more aggressive than "chum" or "pal" "friend" "commrade" whatever! Besides, I think camaro means 'shrimp' in another language, which I hope continues to go largely unnoticed by most.
