I've been watching this thread, and this may be my next mod. I would also like to install my engine cover if possible.
Has anyone tried to lay the engine cover on top of the intake with the 25mm spacer installed? If the cover is clear of the hood insulation, I may have found a solution to the oil filler tube height.
This spacer is an oil filler tube from a G8 with a 3.6, it measures 25mm.

It fits right into our LLT oil filler, and just screw your existing oil cap or breather on.
