Turn your car on for a while before you need to leave. keep it running with the defrosters and the heat cranked. after a while, the snow will simply melt away. If it's too much for that, at least you'll have a thin layer of water between your car and the snow so when you push it off by hand, it'll glide on the surface of the water and not scratch your paint.

It should be a law that you have to clear all the snow off of your car.
