If you look at the new ZL1 Camaro TR6060, they have redesigned the shifter location and bolts directly to the internal shifter shaft.
Why would GM/Tremec have revised 2nd gear blocker ring? Why the redesign of the shifter location/mounting?

Exactly! Because they know if ZL1 customers cant shift their over $50k 580hp car they are going to have a big problem.
