Hmm, could be the angle and or paint... I've heard, "
problems with the fuel tank and collisions" could be the reason for a side install too. But really all your doing is keeping the filler opening in the same vicinity-- just tilting it 70-80 deg.

Don't see how that's any safer... Whatever, just thought it was very cool on the concept and would like to see it stay.
