I've been in jail a few times, mostly traffic related.

First time was in L.A. It's a long story, but I essentially flipped off two undercover cops in my 1973 Dodge Charger SE (w/440 magnum) back in 1983. They had been tailgating near downtown L.A. when there was no traffic at all. This went on through several lights. When I finally slowed down to about 10mph, they finally pulled around me and as they passed I flipped them off. Out popped a badge. There's more to the story in how they arrested me, and all charges were dropped later. I did spend the evening in jail before I was bailed out by my mom. It was L.A. County Jail, and kind of scary for that short period of time.

Another was on a motorcycle up here in Washington in 87. I was riding route 20 towards Oak Harbor from Mount Vernon. Along the way, another identical 86 Yamaha FJ1100 comes off another route feeding into the highway I'm on. We end up riding towards Oak Harbor, which has some nice twisty roads, and back then was a lot less travelled than it is now. We were definately speeding, but nothing major...I think we were doing about 90 and there was no other traffic. A cop turned on it's lights, and I pulled over. The other guy slowed with me, but when I pulled over, he kept going. The cops, then the judge wanted to know who my friend was. To this day, I have no idea who he was...but because I refused to tell them, they threw the book at me, and I spent a week in jail.

Does college jail count for getting busted with weed?
