If it told you that you had x number of miles left to go, you could easily run out with say 25 miles left. Both of my GTO's showed how many miles you had left once the low level fuel came on. If I remember correctly it always came on when I had 2 gallons left in the tank. would always say 39 miles left. Which is pretty accurate seeing how I averaged 18.5 mpg in both of them when I was doing my normal day to day driving. I have only see my low level come on once in my camaro and was a little disappointed when it didn't say how many miles left until empty.
