DashTronix Radar Projector! Display your V1 or 9500ci radar detector on the DIC+HUD!
is proud to announce the arrival of the all new Radar Projector for the 2010-up Camaro.
Now you can display your Valentine 1™ or Escort 9500ci (custom install) radar detector in your DIC (when DIC is placed in Navigation mode), and HUD (if equipped).
The HUD is not required to display your radar detector on your DIC.
The Radar Projector no longer displays on the radio! Your radio is now free to display its info uninterrupted.
Below is an animation of the Radar Projector in use on the DIC (in navigation mode), and HUD (if equipped).

The tiny Radar Projector™ comes with everything you need right out of the box. It plugs into your car at the OBD-II port under the steering column with the included 3 foot cable cable. It automatically controls the power to the Valentine 1™, using the telephone cord that came with your Valentine 1™, by sensing when you turn your engine on and off without the need for tapping fuses, wires or using the lighter outlet. The 9500ci Radar Projector is also plug and play with the Escort 9500ci radar detector.
With its incredible efficiency and intelligence it's designed to be left plugged in to your car at all times. We have a solution for users that have something already plugged into the OBD-II port. There is an additional proprietary splitter that allows two devices to be plugged into the OBD-II port at the same time, which is available at the time of purchase. That way you can use both devices simultaneously.
Here are some of the exciting features of the new Camaro Radar Projector™.
- There are three operational modes:
- Display onHUD. (if equipped)
- Display onDIC (when DIC is placed in Navigation mode), and HUD (if equipped) cars at the same time.
- Radar Projector Off and the V1™ display will be illuminated.
You do not need the HUD to use the Radar Projector. Your V1™ alerts will be displayed on the radio or DIC (when DIC is placed in Navigation mode).
- There are two different radar signal strength display formats in both HUD (if equipped) cars, and DIC (when DIC is placed in Navigation mode).
- Format 1: Meters run right to left on the HUD (if equipped) cars and top to bottom on the DIC (when DIC is placed in Navigation mode) and radio.
- Format 2: Meters run left to right (HUD, DIC use asterisks)
- The RP™ modes and display formats can be switched by the user while
driving.
- To change the mode of your RP™, your cruise control must be on (be sure indicator light is lit). Press the cruise control “cancel” button twice with no more than 1 second between presses. The RP™ will advance to the next mode, indicating the new mode on the DIC and HUD.
- When the car is shut off, the RP™ will remember the last used mode so when you start your car, the RP™ starts in the same mode as you last selected.
All information from your Valentine 1™ or 9500ci radar detector is transferred to the DIC (when DIC is placed in Navigation mode) and HUD (if equipped) cars so you don't have to take your eyes off the road to have radar
situational awareness. There is simply nothing else like the
Radar Projector™ available!
