I was thinking that was a possibility but I couldn't imagine what the difference would be as it's still a car and in that case the second GM makes electric cars they could do the same.
I know there was a bill that was shot down concerning electric cars being allowed to be directly ordered by the consumer. I don't know if it ever got passed after being shot down, but I imagine not.
