GM's been running these cars for thousands of miles at highway speeds, even if this were not an isolated problem, which I suspect it is, it wouldn't happen unless you were trying to top out the car.
And for those of you that say you're going to go 150 miles an hour on public roads, then the front clip would definitely crack anyway, since you're going to crash eventually and probably kill someone.
