I got mine in yesterday too. Also took 5 hours with 2 people working it. One in the trunk and the other outside the car. I did not install the remote bass knob. I may add it later.
It was not that hard but it was tedious since I took my time moving the wires and per Steve's guide. Then running the power and ground took some time. As for settings, I set the LPF at 80, gain and bass boost wound up at around 1/4 of the dial. As for the head unit I found I had to set the fader to 7 towards the rear to balance out everything.
The kit contained everything I needed except:
Harness clamps
self tapping screws
enough tie wraps
screws to mount the speaker to the box
Where did you put the fuse? I would up tie wrapping mine to the battery mount as shown below.
