Early Alpha and Beta cars are hand built -- many of the metal ones are white for many reasons - but one of those reasons is for corrosion testing -- which of course is accelerated -- you can SEE the corrosion on a white car -- inside the panels and such......
tHANK YOU FOR ANSWERING MY QUESTION OF WHY THE CARS ARE WHITE. THAT MAKES TOTAL SENSE!
The next cars are IVERS -- again -- mostly hand built.
Early non-saleables come off the line and can be any number of colors....
IVERs and Non-Saleables have an 'EX' at the end of the VIN and cannot be sold.......
WHAT DO THEY DO WITH THESE CARS^
The 'saleable' cars have regular VIN tags and can be sold --
I'm hoping the first one will be Red...............to match the last one off the line at Ste. Therese -- the last one off the line at Norwood, and the last one off the line at Van Nuys..........

How do they do vin#s for these cars anyway? Do they count(?) each car that comes out?
