so i was thinking about the ADM scoop the other day and thought: what if one just cut out the plastic area (where you would if installing ADM, below), and then do nothing more? basically if you just allow cooler air to come into that area of the car, then the filter would surely be getting colder air? i know the race scoop directs the air towards the filter, but that doesn't mean just having that hole would not provide some benefit without directing the air right at the filter. what do you think? maybe even put a screen or something about the hole to prevent (as much) water from coming through. thoughts?
