Oh I'm not saying that you can't make a beast out of a '73 Cutlass. I've seen some brutally mean 80s era Cutli (?). A relatively light body, RWD, and room for just about any GM V8 is a recipe for success waiting to happen. However, now you're looking at a project car, and you don't pay much for the initial car, as most of your money is going to fixing it up. If you're paying $10K for a car, you're looking at something you intend to be a nice cruiser or show car, not a stripped out drag monster.
