Looking at the pics in the first post, I can gather is that I need to cut the tabs off the stock gasket and leave the stock gasket on the heads. Then I need to use the RTV directly onto the IM and then place the insulator on top of that gasket and wait several hours? Before installing the IM/insulator combo back onto the heads using the provided bolts.

Also just so I can plan it, how many hours did it take you guys to install?

I also remember in the beginning something about the bolts that mace provided were not matching up to our assembly. Should I assume that I got the new improved bolts?
Blade,

Aaron, has done a good writeup of the installation process as shown in the link below

http://camaro5.com/forums/showpost.p...82&postcount=1

From the above link, one of the original fasteners while the rest are the ones supplied for the final install.

As for curing times for the RTV please refer to the recommendations on the back of the packet. From experience though you can "expedite" curing times if you're keen on testing it out sooner rather then later, however at the risk of a vac leak it's probably not worth it.

In regards to Camaro down time, allow for around 2 hours installation time, give or take, plus curing time. If you take your time and pace yourself you should have any problems

As for the supplied fasteners they are the revised ones. Any problems please let us know

I'm sure there are other tips/tricks that other members may want to add, that I've probably overlooked

Kindest Regards,
Steve
