So you jumped to conclusions and didn't read anything. Got it.

There is NO delay.
When a new vehicle goes into production, you cannot run them at, say, 40 jobs per hour.....well -- you COULD -- but no one would want to buy them.
QUALITY is our guiding light. It must be or we won't be around for another 100 years.
In order to get quality, the plant -- it's people and its vendors and suppliers -- and, it could be argued -- the machinery itself -- need to go slowly as the vehicles start to be built -- this allows final adjustments and root-cause analysis for anything that may not be 'just right' --
Some of you may have read that "Number 3" and I -- along with John, Cheryl, and many others, are now driving 'Captured Test Fleet' vehicles. Each of us has driven the IVERs -- and early non-saleables -- and I gotta tell you -- I'm BLOWN AWAY by the quality of VIN 9A000130 -- how great it rides over the craters known as Detroit Streets -- how quiet the ride is (road noise) at 70mph -- how silky the shifter is - and I delight in seeing the final solutions to the number of items that we targeted for improvement --
Sooooooo....
....Each day - each week -- the line will 'ramp up' -- and by March 16th, we will have built many many more Camaros.
Dylan is trying to share info. with you -- but please -- I'm begging you -- don't jump to conclusions when you read something.
We are not completely clueless! We KNOW you want your Camaros -- WE WANT you to have your Camaros!

WHOA -- jumping to conclusions!
We are building both V6 and V8 cars -- we want you (collectively) behind the wheels of your Camaros AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!...........
Now of course he never said that customer orders would be built before sold orders. But he certainly made people believe that. I even argued with him about it. And sure enough, I was right. But then again, how could I have been arguing with him if he wasn't disagreeing with me? Read the threads and I think you'll understand. Especially notice Skyman's reaction. He took Scott's word as gospel and interpreted it to mean that customer cars would get built first. We all know now that didn't happen. As I said then, GM never had any intention of this. But, I decided to trust Scott in spite of the other evidence.
I don't feel like going back and digging up other examples (it's 2am and I have to work in the morning) but there's plenty more of this sort of statement from the GM folks.

Nowhere did he say first ordered, first served. his posts are in blue.
