Performace Advice and Math
Folks,
I have owned a few LS1 based cars. I usually put in a aftermarket MAF, K&N Air Filter, and Borla Exhaust, simple stuff. (Put a Jet Chip in my '98 - loved it)
With the new Camaro I would like to wreck a perfectly good credit card and order the following GM performance parts:
1. Air box, Shorty Header and Exhaust Upgrade. This way the flow is better in and out (sounds like a bran commercial).
So, I see on the forum each performace piece has a HP gain but them all together what do you think the average gain would be? Should the PCM be tuned to realize maximum effect?
Plus what is the pros/cons of the shorty headers vs the long tube headers.
