NC legal tint is 35% as stated above. If close to the limits, most inspectors will put a meter to it to check legality. Cops have become increasingly stricter as far as window tint goes. Heed advice given here. The tint situation is what will likely cause problems. 20% is not good here in NC and you will possibly be ticketed.
