That's a tough one. I agree with him to a point, yes, dealers deserve to make a profit on their sales, hell, they're making a living doing this. No profit = no living, it's a business.

I think where some of the animosity comes from is that there is so much variance in mark up and some dealers (not all) tack on ridiculous fees that make no damn sense, with the intent of fooling the customer into thinking they HAVE to pay those fees anywhere they go. Let's face it, some dealers (the unscrupulous ones) take advantage of people who don't know any better or don't know to do the research before shopping for a new or used car.

I don't mind paying a price that gives the dealer a profit as long as it is reasonable (at or below MSRP). I will under no circumstances pay those retarded fees (no offense to any retards here in the forums), would rather walk away from a car than bleed money.
