I'd be surprised if the GT500 doesn't own the ZL1. It's expected based on the specs. Given the same basic weight, the GT500's better launch control, and more power, the drag times will not be very close. Road course times will be comparable.

The 2013 is lighter and does have more HP. It does not have a better launch control as it use date technology one wheel braking for S/TC. Will it pull a faster 1/4 mile constantly? I could care less. When I drive, y drives are longer than a 1/4 mile. The roads on drive on have turns and rough patches. Some times it rains when I drive. I'll take the ZL1.
