On a private forum, we all only have the privilege to speak our opinions. If it were up to me, I'd have closed this thread a long time ago.
The truth is that we can only complain. GM won't change a well-settled policy on distributing cars. Fbodfather tried to explain to us how it is part of how GM operates, and part of the problem is that GM's customers aren't buyers. They are dealers, and GM has to commit to those dealers. We are only customers to the dealers. GM has no authority over how those dealers sell cars. They can sell them at any price to any person with any conditions. Because GM and other automotive manufacturers must deal with this system, they have to work carefully with dealers to make sure that they are treated equally.
