Let me tell you people the salesman must know all the engine and cab combinations and GVWR's for pick ups. All of the cars and competition. The Salesman must also deal with people all day who have 0 respect for them. The Salesman works crazy hours and also has lots of paperwork to deal with. The Salesman gets 100% comission against the draw. So if he goes a week without a sale he owes the dealership $400.
This is why a good salesman is hard to come by. I see it on this site all of the time a disregard for the salesman and the dealer. The bad salesman are not here on Camaro5 so they will never hear what you are saying. The above average salesman are here trying to learn along with you. I love hearing how you guys think, I am one of you. I just get tired of all the cheap shots.
I have no problem with UCF it just was a post that finally got me to write this. I like all of you guys.

I wouldn't take it personal. My experience so far is that my guy knows very little. I find time to learn about cars (not just the Camaro) and I don't work in the auto industry. If it was my job, I would do so. So he froze up on the color. Fine. But when your salesman calls you to ask you to bring your car down for the unveil and you have to notify him that you don't and won't have it by then it's pretty bad. Fact is, most salesmen don't know their product like they should. Wether that is a manufacturing fault or a local fault it's still apparent. I understand they only know what GM tells them but many of these guys don't even try to get you accurate info. I would much rather hear my guy tell me he doesn't know than make stuff up. One thing I've learned through this whole process is dealers don't really know much before the product gets to them. Not their fault but still true. The disorganization is obviously due to the brand new car but most people here have bypassed their salseman alltogether and just deal with the sales manager or inventory guy. I know I have.
Don't take offense. Nobody said ALL salesmen are idiots. Or dealers are idiots. That's why we have a list of good ones and bad ones. We're just having fun with that guy. I myself would have prepared a little better knowing the cameras were coming.
