If I were you I'd discuss gearing with the shop that's going to do any of your power mods, so you're not doing something now that you'll regret later.
A lot of folks change out their gears and then later when they do other things they realize the screwed up royally.
For example now that I've done all my power mods and have the "potential" of about 1400hp. at the crank, I'm discussing gears to go into my 9" rear.
That discussion is based on how I plan to use the vehicle on a daily basis and the type of driving I'll be doing on the track. I'm thinking 3.73 or 4.10, however, 4.10 may be too much down low on 1000rwhp. for daily use, so may scale back to 3.73, or may just do nothing at all because at 1000rwhp. it may be fine just to keep the same gear ratio as daily driving may be too aggressive with that much power on shorter gears.
