People are defending GM. Well we know it is not GM's fault, but come on those dealers represent GM. We can't go directly to GM and buy a car, we have to go to a dealer. I say GM should pressure dealerships or step in on our behalf. I would call GM customer service, even if it wouldnt help.
I would write the news papers, contact the better business bureau, contact the owner or his office I would create as much bad publicity for that dealer as possible. My sales manager kinda hinted to that last week when I called in to request an update. I wrote emails and went off on my salesman (on his voicemail as he was off) the next day I received a phone call that it would be MSRP as agreed on.
Yes I do understand your reasoning in going elsewhere away from GM products. Again it is not GM's fault but the GM dealers represent GM and unless GM will allow customers to go directly to them to buy a car they should set up some approved dealer guidelines. They have indicated on cutting back on dealerships, this looks like a good one to loose.
I say we should all call that dealer and let em know how f'd up we as loyal GM customers feel about this shity biz practice. I bet if they start getting swamped with ppl complaining how they treat their customers they would think twice.
