Gentlemen and Ladies,
For those of us who placed deposits during the early days of ordering, I have a proposal to get some of GMs management to take notice and pay attention to what we are saying. Below are instructions for making an online Better Business Bureau complaint. GM has received about 168 such complaints over the past year, and has responded to the majority of them. Current report can be found at:
http://www.bbb.org/eastern-michigan/...troit-mi-4005/
If you have put your money down (I put mine down the morning of Oct 13 with what my dealer clams is currently the largest chevy dealer in the nation.), you are within your right to write a complaint. The resolution GM comes back with may not be what you are looking for (if anything at all), but receiving a year’s worth of complaints in a few days will get their attention better than all the complaining about it all day long here. Besides I hate harping on Scott because he has the inside track. Camaro is his baby, and I doubt he is the architect of the ordering and build debacle we are so hot over. Nevertheless, I’m not liking all the Camaro’s showing up that are not satisfying the preorders. Time to make your voice heard.
1) To file a complaint go to
http://www.bbb.org/us/ and select the orange “file a complaint” link
https://odr.bbb.org/odrweb/public/Ne...=2&countryid=1
- Put in your zip and select next
- Search by URL, enter
www.gm.com ,….select next
- Select "General Motors at 100 Renaissance Center Detroit, MI 48265" - select next
- Select next again
- Enter your contact info,….. select next
- Enter your complaint info,….select next
- Enter complaint classification and description (2000 characters max),….select next
- Enter your Desired Outcome, (500 characters max), …..select next
- review for errors, and select submit
You will get an email from the BBB saying your complaint is received and being routed.
I filed mine earlier tonight.
I honestly think this route will get more attention.
When GM responds, you can inform the BBB that all is ok, or you can reject the response and provide a rebuttal. (which the BBB will forward)
Hint: companies hate rebuttals, because it has a higher chance of turning into an unresolved complaint on their record.
