To the OP. It's not really justified getting all butt-hurt by Mustangs spanking you. All you've done is add some exhaust and a CAI. You're not going to get 1000hp out of really basic mods. My car had LT's and exhaust and nothing else, is also an L99 and I was putting 344RWHP before a tune. Like you, I was not satisfied with the car and added a cam, torque converter, performance heads, UD pulley, CAI and a few other supporting mods. Contrary to what someone else posted about a Whipple or Maggie, that is not needed. I guarantee you that no 5.0 Mudstain will be running me in the 1/4. You just need to spend a little more money. Or, just be happy with what you have and race a slower car.
