My experience with them is they are fairly quick up to about 40mph, but after that they really slow down. Especially when racing from a roll, they have very slow acceleration when you mash the gas at higher speeds (like crusing 60mph on the highway and you mash the gas).
I know they handle very well in the twisties. But that's not what I'm talking about.

As stated before, if you want a straightline monster, stick with a vehicle that has significant torque. People complain about their 0-40 more than anything else honestly.
Pony car guys always want to compare 1/4 times because that's where they excel.
