All you need to do is unhook battery first. Then right behind the controls on the both sides of the wheel you will find a small hole. Get yourself an allen wrench that fits into the hole long ways. When you feel it hit a movable metal piece simply push it in while pulling back a bit on the airbag hub. Do this on both sides and the airbag will come off. Drop it down a bit then using a flat blade screwdriver unlock the tabs on both airbag wiring harnesses. just pull them up a bit. Then remove both harnesses. (see photos for some visual aide)
Disconnect the wheel control wiring on both sides now.
The actual trim bezel is only held in place by long plastic pins that sit down into a rubber socket in the wheel. The long pins are located on both sides of the wheel near the controls and on the lower fork of the wheel. All the rest of the trim is barely connected and just sits in place with tiny lock tabs.
I suggest grabbing the trim bezel right near the wheel controls and the opening of where the airbag hub was and pull back toward you. It's tight so pull back smooth. Repeat on other side and rotate to the bottom also. You will feel the long pins come out of there rubber sockets. Once they do simply pull the bezel off.
The controls themselves are simply held into the bezel again with tiny lock tabs. Depress them and pop out the controls.
Now place controls into new bezel and put the bezel back on. Start at the bottom. Takes a bit to get it all lined up right but it will and simply push it back down. Hook up controls wiring. Then bring airbag up onto wheel. hook up the harnesses. Put the airbag into it's place sand simply push it on.
Reconnect your battery and your done.
