From what we know right now, it is the L99 engine, which is basically an LS3 with a smaller camshaft profile, AFM/DOD which has 8 of the 16 lifters being different along with a different valley cover that can turn your V8 into a 4 cylinder at certain engine speeds/loads to get better fuel economy, it also has VVT which is Variable Valve Timing, which changes the camshaft position by advancing or retarding the Camshaft timing, this is what is going to be interesting when it comes to tuning. I also heard that the exhaust is more restricitive. As far as I know, those are the only differences between the L99 and LS3, correct me if I am wrong.
