another possibility is that you just get what I like to call a shitmobile. usually these can be found rather easily on craigslist. just find a car that has no impairing issues and you can usually get one for somewhere in the 300-500 range if you give it a month or two of looking. a friend of mine just got a shitmobile for $350 that actually works quite well with no issues aside from the fact that it's a civic
