I just used basic masking tape from lowes. You just can't let the stuff dry. Pull it off as soon as possible after your last coat. And I waited maybe 15-30 seconds between coats. Another tip: use a fresh can or clean the nozzle well. When I tried a redo the next day the nozzle was clogged & I got huge drops of paint coming out.

when you are done spraying each coat, it is best to turn the can upside down and spray until only air is coming out. this helps with the clogging. learned that the hard way lol.
