The two cars are apples and oranges. You cannot and I would not compare, too many differences. I have owned Vettes for over 35 years and love them. My current 67 is a culmination of putting 35 years of love into one car. The 427 is the first Vette that I have fallen instantly in love with in a long time and I am not a big fan of convertibles. At B-J WPB the silver ZL1 and the 427 were side by side and looked great together.
Sitting in the 427 is like sitting in fighter jet, smaller more compact. The convertible gives total 360 viewing. It is a very serious machine. The ZL1 was more comfortable from the point of being less cramped and a more open interior and much easier to get in and out of. With 580HP on tap, I doubt she will surrender to very many Vettes or many any other cars for that matter.
If you were going to buy a 2013 Corvette, the 427 60th Anniversary Edition would be THE ONE to buy. I really see it like being a 67 Vette. The last of a generation with all of the best improvements. It is the only Vette that I even remotely thought of trading my 67 for. I need a four car garage!
