Cops are humans. Some humans are dinks, therefore some cops are. Any job has these people, most people just don't end up hating whole career groups because of that. As cops, we are well aware that some of our fellow officers are dinks (being polite). Believe me, we have to work with them.
Small towns usually have lower standards, pay, and less training. Usually you get what you pay for. Small towns usually have more attention to pay to minor violations, which tend to annoy people. Just giving you the reality.
Thanks for some of the supporting comments and I had a good chuckle at the one saying they hate cops and bragging about his driving, then demanding humbleness because I defended my fellow officers. Takes all kinds to make a village.
