Bahhhh...I want to know already!
from wiki, assuming that they won't put a northstar into the Camaro, their current gasoline small block V8's are as followsWe can cross off LS2 and LS7 for sure. LS4 is out because its for front wheel drive. L76 and LS3 are on the maybe list. Out of the car engines, that leaves the L98, which is basically the L76. So if it gets included with the L76 it goes into the maybe pile. But based on what we think we are hearing, the 'maybes' are esentially out as well. The rest are truck engines, they could be used in cars with slight modivications like the L76. The problem is that they generally dont have a high enough specific output to make us happy when we buy a car. They work great for trucks, but not cars. The exception would be the L76, but as I said, it may be out as well.

So, the existing V8's for the Camaro are all seem unlikely. Since it has to have a at least one V8 there is only 2 possible answers: the the engine does not currently exist; Or I eliminated the engine because I've been misguided.
